If you are like me, at some point you will of had an old brown leather suitcase under the bed, full of old photos. I decided that it was a shame to leave the all of those photos under the bed, however I also didn’t want framed photos all over the house. I decided to create a photo book to treasure those family memories.
Snapfish produce fabulous photo books, I have used them in the past to create wonderful summer holiday photo books, and wondered if I could do the same with these old photos. I decided to scan them in (but you could also photograph them) and although this took a while, the results were far better than I had expected.
The beach provides a naturally beautiful canvas, and by simply using a variety of perspectives, you can create extraordinary pictures of your days by the sea. For example, snap a candid shot of your child or loved one unaware and enjoying the beach.
Play with different angles
Even recognizable or frequently photographed locations can be even more eye-catching when you capture them from a fresh perspective. For example, shoot buildings looking up rather than straight on.
Make the gift-giving part of the party more personal—and practical. Take a photo of each child presenting a gift and a photo of the birthday boy or girl opening it. You’ll create a visual record of who gave what, which is a huge help when it’s time to write thank-you notes.
